Downtown Baton Rouge is the heart of the action for weekends in the area. The hotel we’ve selected is within walking distance of the Old State Capital, Louisiana Art and Science Museum, & the USS KIDD (that’s about a 15 minute walk). North 3rd Street, the ‘French Quarter’ of Baton Rouge is conveniently located a block away with numerous bars that are lined up one after the other.

If someone wants a quick bite to eat, Raisin’Canes (Chicken Fingers) is about two blocks away, as is a pizza parlor “Schlittz and Giggles”. Diagonally from the hotel is a PJ’s Coffee House. There is also a Po-boy restaurant a block down. A complete guide to dining within walking distance to the hotel will be provided to Summit attendees. Saturday mornings, there is a farmer’s market with handmade goods that may be interesting to Summit attendees.

Driving distance from the hotel (Under 15-20 minutes) are the Knock Knock museum for younger cadets, 13th Gate Escape Rooms, LSU (and Mike the Tiger), LSU Lakes (perfect for walking), two casinos, and the Baton Rouge Zoo.
